How a small team uses Rebost

Each person runs Rebost on their own computer, Mac or Windows. The folder the team already shares is the team feature. There is no account to create and nothing to administer.

Install Rebost on each computer. Mac or Windows. The installer is on the download page.
On first run, install the suggested AI. Take the suggestion. Skip the rest of Settings.
Make a Shelf. Link the folder the team already shares, or drop files in.
In Chat, choose that Shelf whenever the answer should come from those files. Open a citation if you want to check.
Save a Recipe for anything you will ask again. Set House rules once if you want a shared tone.

The AI runs on each computer. The shared folder is how the work is shared. Chat stays on each person's computer.
If the shared folder is offline, that source pauses until it is back.
Rebost uses the network to find or install an AI and to check for a newer release. Documents on a Shelf are not uploaded, and Online stays off until it is turned on in Settings.
